Small Groups
Small groups are a place to encounter God, deepen relationships and reach out to our friends. They are dynamic communities that are growing and multiplying, and are a great way to get more involved with life at City Church.
We welcome anyone who wishes to come along, and meet at various times and in various locations across Lancaster and beyond. Our groups are based on relationships, not geography, so find the one that fits you best!

Students
At this exciting and crucial stage of life, we want to help our students grow in faith and feel equipped to serve God in all areas of life. We hope you’ll feel welcome and at home with us!
Youth
Upper Room is the City church youth group. It’s aimed at 11 – 18 year olds, and meets on Thursday evenings from 7 pm – 8.30 pm. A typical youth evening involves games, worship, Bible teaching, friendship, prayer, and lots and lots of laughs! We are passionate about reaching young people at City Church, and want to help them grow in their relationship with God and friendships with one another.
If you are of secondary school or sixth form age and would like to join us, then we’d love for you to come along!
Get in touch if you’d like to find out more.
Families & Children
Little Acorns is our group aimed at 0-4 year olds. On a Sunday, at about 2.20 pm, following a few songs in worship they go to Classroom 1. Parents sign their children in and at that point, if your child has any special requests or needs, you can speak to one of our friendly kids workers. Your children can expect to enjoy taking part in various activities, from playing with toys, Bible stories, singing and arts and crafts.
Going Nuts! is for our 5-11 year olds. In classroom 2 at 3.15 pm after the break and before the preach, the team will be ready to meet you! Week to week the fun varies through games, drama, songwriting, food, dancing and arts and crafts, with the Going Nuts! team committed in helping our children learn more about who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him.
